The Monte-Carlo District

The Monte-Carlo district is the most prestigious in the Principality. In the spring of 1863, the famous Casino de Monte-Carlo was inaugurated by Prince Charles III of Monaco. Beside him was also François Blanc, founder of the Société des Bains de Mer. On the other hand, the construction of several high-end hotels, restaurants and shops continued to transform the district.

Recently, the Monte-Carlo district has undergone several changes. Among others, the metamorphosis of the Hôtel de Paris, the creation of One Monte-Carlo, the modernization of the Place du Casino and the restructuring of the Jardins des Boulingrins.
