The new Café de Paris in Monaco, an iconic establishment in the principality, has recently undergone a complete renovation. The new building, opened in late October 2023, stands as an architectural masterpiece that harmoniously blends tradition and modernity.
THE RENOVATION OF CAFÉ DE PARIS
The ambitious renovation project of Café de Paris was initiated in 2021 by the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM), the owner of this legendary establishment. This two-year project required a substantial investment of approximately 55 million euros.
The new building spans 14,000 square meters and was designed by architects Alexandre Giraldi and Alain-Charles Perrot. It consists of two additional floors housing the Café de Paris brasserie, as well as a brand-new restaurant named “Amazonico,” and luxury boutiques.
The iconic Café de Paris brasserie, which opened its doors on October 25, 2023, is a hallmark of Monégasque life. It offers traditional French cuisine in an elegant and refined setting. The brasserie extends over two levels. The ground floor exudes a convivial bistro ambiance, while the first floor presents a more chic and intimate space with breathtaking views of the Casino Square.
The renovation of Café de Paris marks a new milestone in the development of Monaco, reinforcing the allure of the principality by offering visitors a fresh space for entertainment and gastronomy.
THE “AMAZONICO” PROJECT
The Amazonico restaurant, set to open its doors in April 2024, promises a unique culinary experience inspired by Brazilian flavors. It will be situated on the building’s second floor, featuring a 1,000-square-meter rooftop.
Amazonico will not only provide an exceptional gastronomic experience but also an awe-inspiring setting. The rooftop offers panoramic views of the principality and the Mediterranean. Amazonico will also feature a dance floor and a bar for festive evenings.
The opening of the Amazonico restaurant represents another step in the tourist development of Monaco. This unique space for entertainment and gastronomy constitutes an enticing attraction for visitors to the principality.
